Headease Balm is a cooling herbal balm in a pocket-sized tin, made for the temples, forehead and neck on tense days. Menthol and peppermint are blended with wood betony, German and Roman chamomile and lavender in an olive oil and candelilla wax base. It travels easily, for the desk, the commute or long days of study.
The Herbs
Headease Balm brings together two groups of herbs traditionally used for head tension. Cooling herbs bring a crisp, refreshing sensation that eases pressure and tight muscles. Calming herbs settle an overstimulated mind and the stress behind physical tension. Together they make a balm for a clearer, calmer head.
To Cool
Menthol & Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita): Create a reliable cooling effect on the skin that supports local circulation, eases tight temple and facial muscles and soothes the sensation of heavy pressure. The aroma also helps clear mild nasal congestion.
To Calm
Wood Betony (Stachys officinalis): A traditional nervous system tonic, used to calm an overstimulated mind and ease tight muscles around the head and neck.
German & Roman Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla, Chamaemelum nobile): Gentle herbs that calm muscular tension, ease spasms around the jaw and forehead and soften restlessness.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia): Soothes the nervous system, with a clean, comforting scent that eases stress and upper-body stiffness.

How to Apply: Warm a fingertip-sized amount to soften the balm. Massage gently into the temples, across the forehead and down the back of the neck or between the shoulder blades, as needed through the day.
To Finish: Close the eyes and breathe in the vapours slowly, letting the face, jaw and shoulders soften.
The Herbal Pairing: For longer stretches of tension, a cup of Zen Maitri Headease Tea alongside the balm.

External Use Only: This product is formulated exclusively for topical application on the body. Do not ingest, and keep well away from the eyes, eyelids, and mucus membranes. The natural menthol content will cause temporary watering if applied too close to the eye area. If accidental eye contact occurs, rinse immediately and thoroughly with cool, clean water.
Skin Suitability: Do not apply to open wounds, broken, or sensitive skin.
Sunlight Warning: This balm contains botanicals that may increase temporary skin photosensitivity. Avoid exposing the treated area to direct, intense sunlight or UV lamps immediately after application.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: This blend is not suitable for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Age Limit: Formulated for adult use; only suitable for individuals aged 16 and above.
