Throat Therapy Herbal Tea is a caffeine-free loose leaf blend formulated to support throat and voice comfort during periods of dryness, irritation, or heavy vocal use. Combining traditionally used demulcent and aromatic herbs, it helps coat and protect delicate tissues while promoting a clear, refreshed throat—ideal for speakers, singers, and seasonal use.
Eucalyptus
Traditionally used in herbal preparations for its aromatic, clearing qualities, eucalyptus provides a cooling sensation that supports throat freshness and airflow.
Mullein
A classic demulcent herb valued for its ability to soften and moisten the throat, mullein is commonly included in blends designed for vocal and airway comfort.
Peppermint
Peppermint contributes a refreshing menthol aroma that helps reduce the sensation of throat heaviness and promotes a clear, clean finish.
Icelandic Moss
Rich in natural polysaccharides, Icelandic moss forms a protective coating over the throat, helping to ease dryness and maintain moisture.
Marshmallow Leaf
High in mucilage, marshmallow leaf is traditionally used to coat and protect sensitive tissues, supporting comfort in dry or strained throats.
Liquorice Root
Liquorice root provides natural sweetness and is widely used in throat blends for its soothing, smoothing qualities.
Sage
Sage has a long history of use in herbal throat preparations, valued for supporting clarity and comfort in the voice.
This product contains eucalyptus, mullein, peppermint, Icelandic moss, marshmallow leaves, liquorice root and sage.

To enhance the efficacy of our Throat Therapy Tea:
-
Stay Hydrated: Drinking warm herbal tea or water helps maintain the throat's moisture, aiding in relief and recuperation.
-
Maintain Humidity: Using a humidifier can help to keep the air in your living space moist, particularly in dry conditions or during winter. Moist air can ease throat irritation and coughing.
-
Avoid Caffeine: Caffeine can dehydrate the body. Opt for caffeine-free beverages when you're experiencing throat issues to ensure you stay hydrated.
-
Regular Salt Gargling: Gargling with warm salt water can aid in reducing inflammation and tackling bacteria. It's a timeless remedy to cleanse the throat and offer relief.
-
Limit Cold Beverages and Foods: Cold temperatures can sometimes aggravate throat discomfort. Opt for warm or room-temperature drinks and foods when you're feeling particularly sore or sensitive.
-
Dietary Choices: Favour foods with soothing properties, like honey, warm oatmeal, ginger, and broths and creamy soups to assist in healing. For some, dairy can thicken mucus and further irritate the throat. It's best to minimise or avoid dairy products like milk, yoghurt, and cheese when experiencing throat issues.
-
Avoid Irritants: Refrain from smoking, excessive alcohol, and spicy foods which can exacerbate throat discomfort.
-
Mindful Breathing: Practising mindful breathing or engaging in light throat exercises can help to relax the throat muscles and improve blood circulation.
-
Scarves and Warm Wraps: Keeping your neck and throat area warm, especially in colder conditions, can minimise exposure and soothe discomfort.
-
Rest Your Voice: Limit vocal strain by avoiding shouting or extensive talking when experiencing discomfort.
