Our Unwind bath salts have been crafted with deep relaxation and pampering in mind. They are perfect for use in the evening or after a particularly strenuous day. We have blended a potent combination of body restoring and mind soothing herbs in a base of Epsom salts which can help to relieve tension. While Epsom salts help to soften rough, dry skin and speed up the removal of toxins from the body, they also provide a great medium for absorbing the benefits of the comforting and soothing herbs and essential oils included in this luxurious recipe, such as rose, chamomile, vervain, bergamot and geranium. Immerse yourself in an aromatic sanctuary, as these bath salts not only deliver a potent combination of body-restoring and mind-soothing herbs but also smell absolutely divine.
Epsom salts
Epsom salts are rich in magnesium and sulphate – both very important minerals for the healthy functioning of the body. They have been used for centuries to relax muscles, loosen stiff joints and ease tension, particularly in the shoulders, neck, bak and skull. Soaking in a warm bath of Epsom salts is wonderfully relaxing: it reduces stress and alleviates any aches, swelling, inflamed and/or irritated skin conditions. It can also support skin detoxification and promote better sleep.
Rose
Rose is our number one choice for raising the spirits and cheering the heart. With its heavenly delicate fragrance and beautiful red flowers, rose is well known for strengthening the nervous system, promoting relaxation and having a soothing effect on the mind, emotions and skin. It’s also a storehouse of vitamins and minerals, containing vitamins A, C, B, E, K and folic acid, as well as minerals calcium, potassium, sodium, sulphur and iron – it will leave your skin nourished and pampered.
Vervain
Vervain is an excellent tonic for the nervous system: calms irritability, stress, anxiety and tension. It is often indicated for stress-related headaches, indigestion, insomnia or aches and pains. Vervain also helpfully induces a relaxing and restorative sleep.
Chamomile
The exquisite golden yellow flowerheads of German chamomile alleviate inflammation and skin irritation, support the natural healing process, and soothe any tension. In addition to its delightfully bright aroma, chamomile is a mild nervous system sedative, which means that it gently reduces restlessness, anxiety and insomnia. This makes it the perfect antidote to a long and stressful day.
Roman chamomile essential oil
Roman chamomile – a close cousin of German chamomile – is also a mild sedative that promotes relaxation and calms a busy or irritated mind. We use Roman chamomile essential in our Unwind bath salts because of its comforting and calming scent which has been shown to alleviate fatigue and stress.
Bergamot essential oil
We chose to include the fresh and zesty essential oil of bergamot in this formula for its mood enhancing qualities. It helps to relieve feelings of stress and overexertion and uplifts the spirits.
Rose geranium essential oil
The sweet and floral essential oil of rose geranium is soothing and balancing. It promotes relaxation and emotional stability. It benefits both body and mind with its ability to clear up restlessness, tension and grief. It gently cleanses the skin with its antimicrobial properties, preventing any infection and bringing a radiant glow to the skin.
This product contains Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salts), Verbena Officinalis (Verbena) Leaf, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower, Matricaria Recutita (German Chamomile) Flower, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Limonene, Pelargonium Graveolens (Rose Geranium) Flower Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Flower Oil, Citronellol, Geraniol*, Linalool*. *Naturally occurring in the essential oils.
Add a generous handful of this blend directly to your bath and let it infuse before climbing in. You can use (and reuse) the muslin bag provided to keep things tidy.
