Our Allergy Support Tea is made with a blend of anti-allergenic herbs that modulate your immune response and reduce the symptoms of hay fever. It is a deliciously fresh and floral blend of Baikal skullcap, yarrow, plantain, nettle, liquorice, elderflower and peppermint. This herbal tea soothes inflammation and calms irritation in the sinuses, the eyes and along the respiratory tract — all without any of the side effects of antihistamine drugs.
Baikal skullcap
Also called Chinese skullcap, Baikal skullcap is well known for its ability to support the airways and lungs in relation to both allergies and infections. It is a great anti-allergenic herb which modulates immune function and helps reduce hypersensitivity. It reduces inflammation of the sinuses, bronchi and air passages and dilates the bronchi to help the body clear allergens or debris.
Yarrow
Yarrow contains essential oils that aid in clearing the respiratory tract from allergens or debris, as well as quercetin, which reduces histamine levels, relieving irritation and inflammation of the eyes and airways. It also promotes a healthy immune response and contains a range of vitamins and minerals, making it deeply nourishing.
Plantain
Plantain is an excellent remedy for irritable dry cough. That is in great part because of its richness in a moistening compound called mucilage, which is deeply soothing and healing to the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. Plantain leaves also help to open up and relax the airways to promote deep and effortless breathing.
Nettle leaf
Nettle leaves are famous for their antiallergenic, immune modulating and anti-inflammatory properties. They are highly nutritious – rich in vitamins A and C and minerals, particularly iron, calcium, silica, magnesium and potassium. All of these nutrients are essential for the maintenance of vibrant health and vitality. Nettle also protects the lining of the gut and respiratory tract from irritation and infection, stimulates liver and kidney function, relieves fluid retention and enhances the excretion of metabolic waste via the urine. This makes it effective at both gently cleansing and nourishing the body.
Liquorice root
Liquorice is not only able to soothe a scratchy throat and support the body to fight off unfriendly bacteria and viruses, but also aids the function of the adrenal glands (the bean-like glands that sit on top of our kidneys), which are responsible for production of cortisol, adrenaline and noradrenaline. These hormones play a key role in mediating inflammation in the body, making balanced adrenal function imperative to good health and healthy immunity. Liquorice contains a compound called glycyrrhizin which has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects similar to cortisone — but without its side effects.
Elderflower
The beautifully fragrant, creamy-white flowers of the elder tree help to relax, soothe and decongest the airways. Elderflower is also an effective remedy for teary eyes and runny noses. It supports the body in warding off infection, irritation and inflammation in the respiratory tract. It is also a nervine, making it calming and soothing for easing tension and stress.
Peppermint
Peppermint is wonderfully refreshing and vivifying. Medicinally, it is used to relax, open up and decongest the respiratory tract, modulate inflammation and support the body in dealing with pathogenic microorganisms.
This product contains baikal skullcap, yarrow, plantain, nettle leaf, liquorice, elderflower and peppermint.

-
Drinking plenty of fluids, including water as well as our Allergy Support tea, to help thin mucus and reduce congestion.

-
Stay indoors during high pollen counts and ensure your living space is regularly cleaned to reduce allergens.
-
Incorporate breathing exercises or practices like pranayama, which can help improve lung capacity and ease respiratory discomfort.
