Our Breathe tea is a herbal blend designed to support your respiratory system and its resilience to colds and flus. It helps you breathe more easily and deeply, especially during the colder months or if you have a respiratory condition such as asthma or bronchitis. It helps soothe any respiratory issues and provides extra protection during the winter months with its immune-boosting, antimicrobial, softening and anti-inflammatory properties. The dominant flavour in our Breathe tea is the fresh, woody and warming taste of thyme and rosemary.

Plantain

Plantain is a key medicinal herb for all respiratory diseases as it has a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect on the respiratory tract. It helps to relieve excess mucus, which is especially helpful for irritating coughs and bronchitis.

Elecampane

Elecampane is a restorative herb used for chronic lung conditions. It strengthens and rejuvenates the lungs, eases excess mucus and helps soothe irritating coughs (including asthma, whooping cough)

Marshmallow root

Marshmallow root soothes and protects your respiratory system, working to ease respiratory inflammation and protect and restore the mucosa lining of the respiratory tract.

Echinacea root

Echinacea protects against respiratory infections by stimulating your immune system. It can also improve your resistance and immune response to respiratory infections if you get one.

Thyme

Thyme has potent antibacterial and antiseptic abilities combined with expectorant properties, meaning it helps to relieve excess mucus. It helps especially in cases of respiratory infection, bronchitis and whooping cough.

Rosemary

Rosemary contains essential oils which are antimicrobial, which means it can help to ease symptoms associated with sore throats & colds. As a decongestant, it clears excess mucus; and as an antispasmodic, it can help to eases spasms and tightness in the bronchial tubes.

To enhance the benefits of our Breathe Tea:

  • Stay Hydrated: Regular water intake aids in flushing toxins and maintaining mucus at a manageable consistency.

  • Restorative Sleep: Ensure 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, aiding the body's natural healing processes.

  • Nourish with Broths: Warm broths infused with garlic, ginger, chilli, and spices not only comfort but also provide anti-inflammatory benefits, support circulation, help fight pathogens and boost immunity.

  • Sip on Warmth: Regularly consume hot water infused with lemon and ginger, and honey if you’d like. This age-old remedy aids in clearing congestion, boosting immunity, and soothing the throat. If you have some fresh sage, thyme or rosemary to hand, add those to taste as they will also help.
