With the knowledge that whatever you put on your skin will be absorbed deeply, we have created a face oil which contains four wonderfully nourishing carrier oils and six potent essential oils with a hydrating and soothing action on your delicate skin. In particular Sea buckthorn and rosehip oils, which are key ingredients of this blend, have been shown to boost collagen production, leading to improved skin elasticity and tissue repair. This balancing, nutritive and protective face oil can be used on both dry and oily skin, night or day, and will leave your skin healthy and radiant. The name Elaeagnus comes from the botanical family of one of its key components: sea buckthorn oil, which has an impressive array of healing qualities.

Sea buckthorn berry oil

Our choice of name Elaeagnus for our face oil is due to the profound properties of sea buckthorn, a plant of the Elaeagnaceae botanical family. With a wide range of healing benefits, the seeds and leaves of this plant are very rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids (including vitamins C, B, and E, as well as omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 fatty acids). Sea buckthorn’s wonderful healing qualities also include protection against environmental stressors, promotion of skin elasticity, prevention of skin dryness, and especially healing around the eyes: a ‘must have’ ingredient for our luxurious face oil.

Camellia oil

Highly treasured as a secret beauty ingredient in Japan, this beautiful scented oil rich in omega 9 essential fatty acids, helps to maintain and replenish the skin barrier. Often described as a dry oil, camellia oil is well absorbed into the skin, with no greasy residue. Among its many benefits is its richness in vitamin A, which encourages skin cell production. It also contains vitamin E, a natural antioxidant which moisturises and softens your skin, making it less prone to fine lines. 

Rosehip seed oil 

Exceptionally rich in vitamin C, antioxidants and essential fatty acids, rosehip oil is also praised for its ability to facilitate healing of scars and other blemishes, making it an essential ingredient in our face oil.

Passionflower oil

Thanks to its richness in omega 6 essential fatty acids, passionflower oil nourishes and restores the skin’s important barrier function. It is also high in vitamin A, which can support collagen production, helping to reduce fine lines. It also protects against damage from excessive sun exposure, enhances skin healing and reduces acne. 

Lemongrass essential oil

Lemongrass essential oil brings a refreshing and uplifting touch to our Elaeagnus face oil. In addition to its bright, mood-enhancing aroma, lemongrass essential oil is particularly useful for oily or acne prone skin, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial actions. It naturally inhibits any fungal infections. Lemongrass has the added benefit of also being high in antioxidants, which help to protect the skin from free radical damage caused by environmental pollutants and excess sun exposure.

Frankincense essential oil

One of the most well known and potent anti-inflammatories in herbal medicine, frankincense essential oil is a key ingredient in our face oil due to its ability to improve circulation and blood flow, thereby brightening and improving the tone of the skin. Through its toning and rejuvenating action, it works to reduce the appearance of blemishes and lines. 

Lavender essential oil

Beyond its beautifully calming scent that relaxes and soothes the nervous system, lavender essential oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It addresses bacterial infections, unclogs pores and reduces inflammation, soothing the skin and helping to prevent and heal any blemishes. 

Helichrysum essential oil

Helichrysum essential oil is widely used in skincare to prevent and reduce fine lines, scars and blemishes. It supports skin healing and regeneration and prevents damage from environmental stressors thanks to its richness in antioxidants. It has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which make it helpful in reducing any allergic rashes and in preventing infection in skin wounds. 

Rose geranium essential oil 

Rose geranium is relaxing and soothing. It promotes a healthy circulation and helps cleanse the skin. Despite its sweet and floral aroma, it also has potent antiseptic properties that can help to prevent fungal infections. Rose geranium brings a radiant glow to the skin. 

Patchouli essential oil

Extracted from the leaves of the fragrant patchouli plant, patchouli essential oil can help reduce blemishes and skin imperfections, and promote a smooth and glowing complexion. It calms redness, prevents any infections and softens the skin.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant, which helps protect the skin from various adverse environmental factors, including air pollution and solar radiation. Moreover, it speeds up the healing process and reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
